Gianluca Fratellini was born in 1980 in Puglia, Modugno.He began 3D when he was 14 years old.After the diploma he attended the University of Informatic.He created the short-film A Bug's Story(5 minutes).While he was studing to give his first Analysis’ exam,Oniria Pictures, a company in Luxembourg offer to him a contract to work on the animated 3D film Tristan & Isolde.He did leave university and he left to Luxembourg where then he worked for 3 years, initially as 3D Junior Animator on the TV American Series Bob' s Beach-52 episodes of 11 minutes, and then as 3D Senior Animator on the first film Tristan & Isolde and afterwards on the second feature film Renart the Fox.During these three years he had at the same time realized his short-film Life in Smoke-Una Vita in Fumo -8 minutes, working nearly all the nights after the job. Life in Smoke is still tearing numerous important awards on Italian and European festivals. He worked at Ubisoft Montreal at Montrèal, in Canada, as 3D Senior Animator and Layout Supervisor in the Cinematic’s department of games such as Splinter Cell,Prince of Persia,Rainbow Six,Far Cry,AND 1 Streetball,Surf’s Up,etc.. He has also been a 3D animation teacher-Level II at the Campus of Ubisoft organized by Cegep of Matane in Quebec. He worked at Animal Logic in Sydney-Australia, as a 3D Character Animator for Mumble for the Warner Bros animation film HAPPY FEET winner of the ACCADEMY OSCAR as BEST ANIMATED MOTIONPICTURE 2007.
