Biography CLOSE THE FULL BIOGRAPHY

Alan J. Levi has worked consistently as a director and producer of popular television series since the late '60s. With his first major success, 1975's "The Invisible Man," Levi began a career in science-fiction television. The show was followed successively by "Gemini Man," "The Six Million Dollar Man," and "The Bionic Woman." In 1978, Levi and Donald P. Bellisario began their creative collaboration on the original "Battlestar Galactica." The two would work on five other series together: the military shows "Airwolf" and "JAG," the crime series " Magnum, P.I." and "NCIS: Naval Crime Scene Investigation," and the sci-fi program "Quantum Leap." In addition to his work with Bellisario, Levi directed the popular shows "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" starring Jane Seymour, "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," and the classic detective show "Columbo."
