BIOGRAPHY

No matter what role, Joel McCrary never failed to cause uncontrollable laughter throughout his film career. In the early stages of his Hollywood career, McCrary acted in comedies like the Gillian Anderson film "Playing By Heart" (1998) and the Kevin Spacey blockbuster "American Beauty" (1999). In the early 2000s, McCrary devoted his time to various credits, such as the Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway blockbuster "The Princess Diaries" (2001), the Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt box office smash "Cheaper by the Dozen" (2003) and "Robot Chicken" (Cartoon Network, 2004-2015). He also worked on "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" (2004) starring Anne Hathaway. Recently, he continued to act in the Dakota Fanning family adventure "Charlotte's Web" (2006), the Matthew Davis comedy "Wasting Away" (2007) and the Eddie Murphy comedic fantasy "Imagine That" (2009). He also worked in television during these years, including roles in "The Middle" (ABC, 2009-) and "Justified" (FX, 2009-2015). McCrary most recently acted in "Jesus People" (2014).
