BIOGRAPHY

Edward Bell was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He had a part on the television special "The Whirlwind" (CBS, 1974-75). He also starred in the TV movies "Earth II" (1971-72), "Truman Capote's "The Glass House"" (CBS, 1971-72) and "Call to Danger" (CBS, 1972-73). He also appeared in "Promise Him Anything..." (ABC, 1974-75). Bell started in the industry by acting in films like "Stop" (1970). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Helter Skelter" (1975-76). He also appeared in the TV special "Hunter" (CBS, 1976-77). He also starred in the TV movies "Murder in Peyton Place" (NBC, 1977-78) and "11th Victim" (CBS, 1979-1980). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "The Premonition" (1975) with Sharon Farrell and "Why Shoot the Teacher" (1976). He also appeared in the action flick "Gymkata" (1985) with Kurt Thomas. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996). He also was featured in the TV movies "Revenge of the Stepford Wives" (1980-81), "The Secret War of Jackie's Girls" (NBC, 1980-81) and "Thornwell" (CBS, 1980-81). He also appeared in "An Act of Love: The Patricia Neal Story" (CBS, 1981-82). Bell most recently directed "Mother Goose: A Rappin' and Rhymin' Special" (HBO, 1997-98). Bell was married to Esther Williams.
