Following his mother's death, Robert Tucker finds himself emotionally adrift. Events move forward and backward in time to his old age in a hospital and the dire memories of his earlier years.

A Northwest frontiersman, in 1820, after being badly mauled by a bear is left for dead. He survives with a rare determination and comes to be looked upon as a God by the Indians.

Dulcima (1971) as Mrs Gaskain
A farmer who has the reputation of drinking most of his money away, lives on farm which is in a poor state of repair. A pretty young girl, Dulcima, takes pity on him and decides to help him by cleaning the place. She is happy to be earning money, and he is happy because she is there..... Despite being a miserable old bastard, he finds himself falling for Dulcima, and askes her to move in with him, to save her the walk every from her home to his farm every day. She does, and is happy with her work. She however falls for a gamekeeper from the nearby estate, and they start to meet in secret beacuse of the farmers increasing jelousy. One day while he is at the market she discovers a whole load of money hidden in an upsatirs room, and this changes the relationship between the farmer and Dulcima. She becomes more freindly towards the farmer, now knowing of his wealth, and the farmer decides that he wants her for his bride. Dulcima however still sees the gamekeeper, and eventually the farmer finds out.

Demons of the Mind (1971)
Baron Zorn (Robin Hardy) keeps his teenaged children locked up and drugged, fearing that his insane wife passed along a congenital curse to them before her own suicidal death. Elizabeth (Gillian Hills) escapes for a brief tryst with a local before being recaptured and subjected to a bleeding process to 'draw out the bad blood.' Emil (Shane Bryant) keeps trying to escape, but is thwarted time and again by his aunt Hilda (Yvonne Mitchell) who runs the house like a prison. One reason the siblings have to be kept apart, is their incestuous attraction to each other. Local wenches are being murdered in the woods, and the superstitious peasants think demons are responsible. A wandering Priest (Michael Hordern) dedicates himself to root out the evil, but isn't taken seriously. Arriving at the castle are two more interested parties: Mountebank scientist-huckster Falkenberg stands to make a small fortune if his strange apparatus can cure the children of their inherited evil. Young Carl (Paul Jones) simply wants to rescue Elizabeth. As more murders mount, Falkenberg enlists village lass Inge (Virginia Wetherell) to play the dead mother in a psycho-drama that he hopes will shock the children from their morbid state; but Baron Zorn's symptoms of derangement soon make it obvious that the doctor is treating the wrong patient...
