Robert Schimmel was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Rodney Dangerfield: Nothin' Goes Right" (1987-88), "Sherman Hemsley's Comedy Jackpot" (Showtime, 1989-1990) and "Robert Schimmel: Hard Core in the Big Apple" (Showtime, 1989-1990). He also appeared in "Comedy From the Danger Zone" (Showtime, 1992-93). Schimmel also provided his talents as a voice actor for "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1989-). He also appeared in the TV special "Robert Schimmel: Guilty as Charged" (Showtime, 1993-94). Following that project, he acted on the silver screen, including roles in "Blankman" (1994) featuring Damon Wayans and "A Low Down Dirty Shame" (1994). He also lent his voice to "Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist" (Comedy Central, 1994-2000). Schimmel was most recently credited in "Inside Comedy" (Showtime, 2011-15). He held additional roles in television including a part on "The Pitts" (Fox, 2002-03). Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Comedy Central Presents the New York Friars Club Roast of Jerry Stiller" (1999-2000), "Robert Schimmel: Unprotected" (HBO, 1999-2000) and "Uncensored Comedy: That's...
