Warner Bros. Star
Edd Brynes was among the many male WB coontract stars of the 60's such as Troy Donahue, Ty Hardin, Chad Everett, Van Williams, Robert Logan, et al. The studio used to cast these Men in films when their TV shows were on hiatus. Troy Donahue was a certified bankable box office star and Mr. Donahue got most of the strong roles at WB during that time. Ty Hardin did as well. One film that was rumored for Mr. Brynes was PT 109 where Byrnes would have starred as President John Kennedy. Instead WB went with a safer choice Cliff Robertson.
Warmer Brps Star
Trpu Donahue may have been the lead male actor at Warners during the 60's but Edd Brynes was a very popular as well. One film that Brynes almost got was PT 109 but the studio cast Cliff Robertson rather than Brynes.
