Sonny Davis was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on, Davis landed roles in comedic films like "The Whole Shootin' Match" (1979) with Lou Perryman and Sonny Davis, "Where the Buffalo Roam" (1980) with Peter Boyle and Bill Murray and "Roadie" (1980) with Meat Loaf and Kaki Hunter. He also appeared in "Why Would I Lie?" (1980) with Treat Williams, the Paul Le Mat film "Melvin and Howard" (1980) and "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" (1982) with Sean Penn. He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the comedy "Wacko" (1983) with Joe Don Baker, "Last Night at the Alamo" (1984) and the comedy "TerrorVision" (1986) with Diane Franklin. He also appeared in the adventurous drama "Project X" (1987) with Matthew Broderick. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Trancers II: The Return of Jack Deth" (1991), the Geena Davis dramatic adventure "Thelma & Louise" (1991) and "Seedpeople" (1992). He also appeared in the Kurt Russell thriller "Unlawful Entry" (1992). Davis most recently appeared in "Deliverance Creek" (Lifetime, 2014-15).
