Allen marked Allen's early career with roles in "The Family Rico" (1972-73), the thriller "You'll Like My Mother" (1972) with Patty Duke and "Scream, Pretty Peggy" (ABC, 1973-74). Allen was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1972. Later, Allen acted in "Eric" (1975-76), "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case" (NBC, 1975-76) and "Captains and the Kings" (1976-77). Allen also appeared in "Smash-Up on Interstate 5" (ABC, 1976-77). Later in Allen's career, Allen acted on "L.A. Law" (NBC, 1986-1994).
