With a myriad of film and television roles to his name, Pierre-Luc Brillant was undeniably one of the most talented and prolific actors of his generation. Born in 1978 in St.-Hillaire, Québec, Canada, Brillant started acting at the age of 12. A student of philosophy, psychoanalysis, and guitar at the "Conservatoire de Musique" in Montréal, he made his acting debut in "Tirelire Combines & Cie" (1993). He followed it up with appearances in the adventure film "Matusalem II: le dernier des Beauchesne" (1997), as well as the dramas "Memories Unlocked" (1999) and "Les moutons de Jacob" (2002). Brillant played a key part in the critically acclaimed feature "C.R.A.Z.Y." (2005), a drama set in 1960s and 1970s Québec that followed the story of Zac, a young gay man who lives with his homophobic family. In the film, Brillant portrayed one of three brothers who constantly torment Zac due to his sexual orientation. Aside from film projects, he also had a thriving television career, which included a recurring role on "C.A." (Radio-Canada, 2006) and "Nos étés" (2005-08). In 2009, Brillant appeared in the comedy "Romaine 30° Below" and in the inventive thriller "Je me souviens" ("I Remember"), about a group of residents whose lives were turned upside down after the mysterious death of one of the town's miners. He was also in the comedy "Y'en aura pas de facile" (2010), the thriller "La peur de l'eau" (2011), and in "La Run" (2011).
