Prolific TV animation pioneer. Brown began as a director for early ABC day-time television working on "Forman Phillips County Barn Dance" and "The Charlie Ruggles Show". Later he formed Cambria Studios which produced "Clutch Cargo" (1959). This was the first animated made-for-TV series--also the first produced in color--in the now standard half-hour format. Brown's subsequent producing efforts for Cambria include "Space Angel" (1962), "The New Three Stooges" (1966) and "Captain Fathom" (1968). He also acted as executive producer for Bakshi Films, Hannah-Barbera and DIC Enterprises.
