Ram John Holder was an accomplished actor who led an impressive career, primarily on the big screen. Holder's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the Robin Phillips dramatic adaptation "Two Gentlemen Sharing" (1969), the crime drama "Leo the Last" (1970) with Marcello Mastroianni and "The Education of Sonny Carson" (1974). He also appeared in the Herbert Norville drama "Pressure" (1976). He also appeared in the TV movie "Robinson Crusoe" (NBC, 1974-75). He kept working in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, starring in the drama "Cuba" (1979) with Sean Connery, "Britannia Hospital" (1983) and "Half Moon Street" (1986) with Michael Caine. He also appeared in the Daniel Day-Lewis drama "My Beautiful Laundrette" (1986) and the Anni Domingo drama "The Passion of Remembrance" (1986). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Norman Beaton comedy "Playing Away" (1988), "Hallelujah Anyhow" (1990) with Dona Croll and the comedy adaptation "Virtual Sexuality" (1999) with Laura Fraser.
