Catherine Disher was a Canadian actress working primarily in television. Born in Montréal in 1960, Disher worked on multiple United States and Canadian productions, mostly filmed in Toronto. She started her on-screen career in 1986, both in film and on television, and by 1988 she had a frequently-recurring role on the crime drama "T. and T." (Syndicated 1987-1990), starring Mr. T. In 1989, Disher landed another major supporting role, as Mana on the action sci-fi TV series "War of the Worlds" (Syndicated 1989-1991). After a few more brief TV parts, in 1992 Disher earned one of the biggest roles of her career, as Dr. Natalie Lambert on the horror-mystery "Forever Knight" (CBS 1992-96), a German-Canadian production shot in Toronto. That same year, Disher landed a major voice-over part as the voice of Jean Grey on the animated series "X-Men" (Fox Kids 1992-97), based on the Marvel Comics creation of Stan Lee. Disher provided voiceover for all five seasons of the series; she would go on to provide voices for various "X-Men" video games, all the way into 2001. The family-friendly fantasy was so popular that it spawned six sequel movies before being turned into its own series, "The Good Witch" (Hallmark 2015- ). Disher also had a recurring role on the medical drama "Remedy" (Global 2014-15).
