When the actions of Jason Bourne spark a fire that threatens to burn down decades of research across a number of secret intelligence agencies, Eric Byer, the man who built the programs, decides he must sacrifice one of them: Outcome. Aaron Cross, one of Outcome''s six agents, and research scientist Marta Shearing go on the run when Byer targets them for termination. But Cross proves to be a far deadlier target than Byer realizes.
Ben "Finn" Finnegan is a good-natured, surf bum-turned-treasure hunter who is obsessed with finding the legendary 18th century Queen''s Dowry, 40 chests of exotic treasure, that was lost at sea in 1715. In his quest, Finn has sunk everything he has, including his marriage to Tess Finnegan and his more-rusty-than-trusty salvage boat, Booty Calls. Just as Tess has begun to rebuild her life, working aboard a mega-yacht owned by billionaire Nigel Honeycutt, Finn discovers a vital clue to the treasure''s whereabouts. Certain that his luck will change with the newfound information, Finn maneuvers himself aboard Nigel''s yacht and, using his good-natured charm, convinces the tycoon and his Blackberry-wielding, celebutante daughter, Gemma, to join him in the pursuit of the Spanish treasure. Against Tess'' better judgment, the search rekindles her love of discovery. But they are not the only ones after the treasure. Finn''s mentor-turned-nemesis Moe Fitch has also set out to claim the prize. Let the treasure hunt begin!
A proud military man, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal officer who loves his country but has been forced to watch with horror as the rise of Hitler has led to the events of World War II. He has continued his military service, all the while hoping someone will find a way to stop Hitler before Europe and Germany are destroyed. Realizing time is running out, Stauffenberg decides he must take action himself, and in 1942, on his own initiative, attempts to persuade senior commanders in the East to confront and overthrow Hitler. Then in 1943, while recovering from injuries suffered in combat, Stauffenberg joins forces with the German Resistance, a long-existing civilian anti-Hitler conspiracy comprised of men hidden inside the highest reaches of power. Armed with a cunning strategy to use Hitler''s own emergency plan to stabilize the government in the event of his demise--Operation Valkyrie--and turn that plan on its head to remove those in power and cripple Hitler''s regime, these men plot to assassinate the dictator and overthrow his Nazi government. With everything in place, and with the future of the world, the fate of millions, and the lives of his wife and children hanging in the balance, Stauffenberg is thrust from being one of many who oppose Hitler to being the one who must kill Hitler himself.
Superman--born on a planet which has long since died--has been raised by adoptive parents on the Kent farm in Kansas. The young boy Kal-El is renamed Clark Kent, and though he has grown up among humans, he is not one of them. Under Earth''s yellow sun, he can do two things humans can only dream of, but to co-exist with them he must live a dual life as mild, unassuming Clark Kent, secretly transforming into the Man of Steel when the world cries out for him. But now, the world''s crises have gone unheeded for five long years since Superman''s mysterious disappearance. Without him, crime has risen in the city of Metropolis and beyond; that''s not even counting the future destructive acts of Lex Luthor, who has been sprung from prison with the specific intent of using Superman''s technological secrets for his own personal gain and glory. Lois Lane, star reporter for the Daily Planet and the love of Superman''s life, has moved on since Superman left without a word. She has even won a Pulitzer Prize for her essay, "Why the World Doesn''t Need Superman." Lois has other issues to contend with--she is now engaged to the editor''s nephew and has a young son to look after. But for Superman, the long search for his place in the universe ends back at the Kent farm, among the only family he has ever known. His destiny lies in Metropolis, where one look in Lois''s eyes tell him that this place, among the flawed but ultimately good people of Earth, is his true home. And with Lex''s plan coming to fruition mere hours after his return, the world will never need Superman more than it does now.
