Can't get much more torrid...

than Annie Sheridan singing in the dive bar wearing that trapeze gown covered with dark sequins. Wow. This is a fast-paced, intense and sometimes funny story about the banana industry. I quickly became accustomed to Cagney in an artistic little 'stache, but I think the practically-10-gallon hat that he wore was a mistake. I really really enjoyed watching Sheridan in the role of a brave, clever woman looking for a big life south of the border. Fearless. Undaunted.
Cagney and Sheridan are always fun together
A fun romp with Cagney and smart-mouthed Ann Sheridan. Add Pat O'Brien and you got a great comedic trio. Get used to Cagney in a mustache... Loved the scene when O'Brien knocks Cagney out of bed: "Earthquake! Earthquake!"

Veteran Broadway boy's club guarantees Sheridan top star status.
