Paramount Pictures made this film in 1964 never in its wildest dreams thinking it would be a cult classic, but it has.Imaginative story and a fine actor Paul Mantee who stars. I do fault some of the sets looking too sound-stagefor my liking being shot at a major studio Paramount Pictures. Paul Mantee is excellent. The baffling thins is why didn't Paramount sign Mantee to a contract and develop him as a leading star? My best guess is that the Studio did not think this movie would become the classic it has. I recommend this film.

This is a good example of not judging a movie by it's title. It is surprisingly good, and the job they did with the budget they had is remarkable. It's not a well known film, which is a shame, because it's an excellent story, a twist on the classic Robinson Crusoe novel. It has depth, good acting and excellent direction. The screenplay is very well done. Always interesting.

This film is one of the few motion pictures made with no human females in it!!!

I loved this movie as a kid. So glad to see it on DVD. I am going to order for my nephews. They love older sci-fi movies. It definately was way before it's time!

This is a really great sci-fi movie. which in 2006 seems more believable than it did in 1964. Very well thought out plot. Great family movie. Very imaginative too. The special effects are really good for a film from 1964 and actually reminds of the latest war of the worlds.
