Mr. Gordon, a ranch owner, rescues a woman from pursuers and provides her with a safe haven. While she is tended to by Watona, a healer and Indian squaw, Gordon discovers that the woman's purse contains $25,000. Rudy and Red, her pursuers, sneak into the house to steal the purse from Gabby, a door-to-door salesman who is Gordon's friend. They are unsuccessful after the ranchhands and an Indian, Watona's husband, scare them off. Although the woman refuses to reveal her identity, Gabby and Gordon assume she is Barbara Evans after reading an article that says she and her father are missing along with $25,000. Sam Gifford, the owner of a corporation, claims that Barbara and her father stole the money. He tries to see her, but Gordon refuses to admit him into her room. Recovering from shock, Barbara claims that the money belongs to others and insists on her innocence. Rudy and Red hold her father captive and force him to write a note to Barbara saying she that must relinquish the money or he will be killed. Barbara reveals to Gordon that Gifford is a stock promoter who planned to steal the stockholder's money. She and her father tried to prevent the theft by taking the money and intended to turn it over to the stockholders. While Gordon and his Indian friend rescue Evans from a burning bandit hideout, Gabby attempts to protect Barbara from Gifford and a fake sheriff. Barbara escapes in Gabby's car, and Gordon catches Gifford and the fake sheriff. All ends well as Barbara and her father, now safe, hold the money for a state inspector, and Gordon and Barbara are in love.
